Dr Kamakshi Sharma is working as an assistant professor at the Indian Institute of Management Jammu in business policy and strategy. She holds a Ph.D. in strategic management from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi.
During her doctoral studies, she focused on researching the dynamics of strategic innovation, strategic flexibility, artificial intelligence, and firm competitiveness. Her thesis, focusing on "Analysing the Antecedents of Firm Competitiveness: Mediating Role of Strategic Innovation and Moderating Role of Strategic Flexibility," provides a deep understanding of the factors driving firm competitiveness, emphasising the transformative roles of strategic innovation and strategic flexibility in the service industry. Her research interests lie in competitiveness, strategic innovation, knowledge management, and flexibility.
She has also published articles in reputed journals, including the International Journal of Emerging Markets, International Journal of Financial Studies and the Journal for International Business and Entrepreneurship Development.
Beyond academia, Kamakshi has contributed significantly to consultancy projects, collaborating with renowned organisations and institutions. These include the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, B Medical Systems Luxembourg, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (Government of India), NABCONS (NABARD Consultancy service), GeM (Government of India) and IPE Global Ltd.
She has also presented her scholarly work at international conferences like the International Association for Management of Technology (IAMOT) and the Academy for Global Business Advancement (AGBA), where she received the Best Research Paper award.
