1. Head iTBI: One Post
The successful candidate is expected to join the Section 8 company viz. IIM Jammu Foundation for Entrepreneurship Innovation & Skill Development, anointed as the inclusive Technology Business Incubator by the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India.
Monthly Emoluments: Rs. 90,000 per month
Upper Age Limit: 55 years
Qualification:
Essential:
Masters in Management with graduation in STEM subjects or Engineering. A doctorate in management will be preferred.
Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years of prior experience at a business incubator handling technical ideas. Experience in independent handling of projects. Previous entrepreneurial experience is desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills and self-motivation.
- Experience in report writing.
- Demonstrated experience working on policy and programmatic issues with multiple stakeholders, including national and local governments and civil society organizations, including community organizations.
- Attention to detail, planning, and task-orientation
Desirable:
Experience of 5 years at a technological incubation centre. Skills in IT, action research, training, and data analysis are preferred. Familiarity and ability to use MS Office, and statistical software.
Job Profile:
- The head will be responsible for all financial and day-to-day activites and for sending signed quarterly & yearly reports to DST.
- The head will be responsible for the management of the ignition grant under NIDHI i-TBI.
- The head will communicate minutes of the meeting, which include recommendatons and action points of section 8 company to DST.
- The head should have plans for making i-TBI self-sustainable after the initial 3 years
Period of engagement:
The job contract shall be for a period synchronous with the project duration.
Reporting Relationships:
Head will report to the Chief Innovation Officer.
Audience/interface:
Internal – Chief Innovation Officer, Faculty & administrative team at IIM Jammu.
External – Incubatees, various program participants, different agencies (Central or State Governments, Corporates, MSDE).
2. Incubation Manager: One Post
As the cornerstone of our Section 8 company, recognized as an inclusive Technology Business Incubator (iTBI) by the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India, we are on the lookout for a dynamic Incubation Manager. This role is pivotal in supporting our mission to foster entrepreneurship and innovation across the region.
Role Overview:
The Incubation Manager will play a crucial role in the operational excellence of iTBI, working closely with the Head iTBI to ensure the smooth execution of our incubation programs. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the entrepreneurial ecosystem, guiding technical ideas from inception to market readiness.
Monthly Emoluments: Rs. 70,000 per month
Age Limit: Applicants should be 45 years or younger.
Qualifications:
Essential:
Graduate degree in STEM/Engineering fields.
Experience:
At least 3 years of experience, working in a recognised business incubator or 8 years of being an entrepreneur, preferably in a technical domain. Proven track record in the design and delivery of mentoring programs.
Desirable:
Proficiency in basic IT and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint. Previous experience of having worked at a business incubator or as an entrepreneur. Proficiency in operating 3D Printers. Proficiency in learning and operating simulation and other software. Proficiency in web design and digital marketing.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the day-to-day operations and administration of incubation programs.
- Develop and implement strategies for iTBI under the leadership of the Head/CEO.
- Spearhead outreach initiatives across all districts of J&K.
- Manage the onboarding process and ongoing support for incubatees.
- Oversee due diligence related to incubatees, including stock transfer and management.
- Evaluate incubatee progress and assist in business model development.
- Build and maintain a robust mentor network.
- Design and conduct training sessions aimed at generating revenue.
- The HR functions of the iTBI
- Other project/incubator related tasks.
Term & Reporting:
The position is contract-based, aligned with the project duration, with the possibility of annual renewal.
The Incubation Manager will report to the Head of iTBI.

3. Dy. Manager (Technical): One Post
We are currently seeking a Deputy Manager (Technical) who will be instrumental in driving the technical dimensions of our incubator to new heights.
Role Overview:
As the Deputy Manager (Technical), you will be pivotal in managing the technological resources and processes that fuel innovation within iTBI. Reporting directly to the Head, your role will ensure the technical operations run smoothly, supporting the incubatees in realizing their business models with cutting-edge technology.
Monthly Emoluments: Rs. 50,000 per month
Age Limit: Up to 45 years
Qualifications:
- Essential: Undergraduate degree in STEM fields.
- Expected/Desirable: Proficiency in IT and adeptness in using Microsoft Office Suite. Proficiency in operating 3D Printers. Proficiency in learning and operating simulation and other software. Proficiency in web design and digital marketing.
Experience:
At least 2 year of experience in a business incubator or in technical operations in a company handling above-mentioned tasks..
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the use of technical tools (like 3D printers and computing software) vital for innovation.
- Coordinate, execute, and report on technical activities to various committees, under the guidance of the Head.
- Support incubatees in developing their business models through technical assistance.
- Scout for technical opportunities within the region and facilitate the onboarding of relevant incubatees.
- Conduct outreach programs and strengthen mentor relationships specific to the technical domain.
- Design and implement training programs aimed at fostering revenue-generating skills.
Engagement Terms:
The position is on a contract basis, aligned with the project's duration, and is renewable annually.
Reporting Line:
The Deputy Manager (Technical) reports directly to the Incubation Manager of iTBI.

- Internal: The iTBI team and incubatees.
- External: Engage with employable youth, business professionals, and liaisons with Central or State Governments and Corporates.
4. Assistant Manager (Accounts): One Post
We are currently seeking an Assistant Manager (Accounts) who will be handling the financial dimensions of iTBI. Role Overview: The successful candidate is expected to join the Section 8 company viz. IIM Jammu Foundation for Entrepreneurship Innovation & Skill Development, anointed as the inclusive Technology Business Incubator by the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India. The successful candidate is expected to report to and closely assist the Head towards seamless financial management of the iTBI.
Monthly Emoluments: Rs. 40,000 per month (CTC)
Upper Age Limit: 45 years
Qualification:
- Essential: Graduation in Commerce with 24 months of independent experience as an accountant at a prestigious concern. Experience of tally, TDS, PF & GST
Experience:
A minimum of 2 years full-time prior experience of handling all financial operations in a corporate/government entity, independently.
Responsibilities:
- The successful candidate is expected to closely assist the Head towards financial handling of all requirements of the iTBI.
- The manager will be expected to prepare, execute and report the GST filing, TDS submission, PF and/or NPS registration and handling Income Tax and other submissions,
- Assisting internal/external audits and handling all other financial activities of TBI to various internal/external committees/agencies.
- Assistant Manager (Account) shall be executing the financial operations of iTBI as per relevant financial rules pertaining to Section 8 companies receiving grant from central bodies.
- Recording financial data in accounting software with due approvals
- Preparing balance sheet and other requirements for internal external auditors
- Other accounting/finance-related jobs of the business incubator.
Engagement Terms:
- The position is on a contract basis, aligned with the project's duration, and is renewable annually.
Reporting Line:
- The Assistant Manager (Accounts) will report to the Head iTBI.
Who You'll Work With:
- Internal – iTBI team & incubatees
- External – GST office, Taxation offices, PF office, NPS office
General Conditions:
