Introduction

Entrepreneurs are required to make decisions to sustain and grow in the market. The decisions are crucial and the quality of the decisions determines the success and failure of the firm. Therefore, entrepreneurs need to make effective decisions to be successful. In the current business environment, where data management has become essential for firms across industries, entrepreneurs need to know on how to manage data related to their firms and use them to make effective decisions. The current course will help entrepreneurs understand firms’ data management and how to effectively use them in decision making.

Entrepreneur/Aspiring Entrepreneurs who has basic understanding of numbers/data/maths.

Need a laptop and basic knowledge of Excel.

Hands-on Experience with MS Excel, and R; Case Studies (Indian) with real world data.

Course Content

  • Measures of Central Tendency: Mean, Median Mode
  • Strategy Formulation: How to generate strategies using data.
  • Measures of Dispersion: Range, Variance and Standard Deviation.
  • Measures of Association: Correlation, Spearman correlation.
  • Test of Hypothesis: Chi-square test, t-test , z-test and ANOVA.
  • Multivariate Analytics: Regression techniques.
  • All the concepts will be taught using real time situations (business data) and how to create decision based on the results generated.
